The Dresden Kinsmen Club presents it’s first annual Lobster/Prime Rib Dinner & Dance on Saturday June 9 at the Lambton Kent Memorial Arena Floor.
Get your tickets now for this special night and help raise funds for the Dresden Community Healthcare Centre.

The Dresden Firefighters of Station #6 would like to invite you to their famous All you can eat Fish Fry on Friday, June 15 at the Dresden Arena from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

Ticket are $20 per person and proceeds will go to the New Dresden Medical Center.

DCHF Kick-Off Event a success

The Dresden Community Healthcare Foundation’s Kick-Off event kept Dresden’s residents busy all day on April 21st. The Family Fun Day provided lots of activities and entertainment for families and the evening brought on the silent auction, dinner and dance.

The silent auction was a success and the fund raised will contribute to the building of a new medical centre in Dresden.

Free Plant Exchange – April 21

Are you a new gardener or does your garden need some new life? Then come and join the Dresden & District Horticultural Society’s Free Plant Exchange this Saturday, April 21 from 9 until noon at 1233 North Street in Dresden.

Local gardeners will bring plants from their own garden and offer them to others. If you have plants to offer please come and be a part of this great annual event.

Books and magazine can also be donated to help new gardeners learn more about the many ways of gardening.

Hundreds of candy hungry kids filled Kinsmen Park for their chance at a basket full of treats.

RAM Rodeo coming this summer!

On August 24th and 25th Dresden will be welcoming over 200 professional riders during the RAM Rodeo. The Dresden Agricultural Society has been working hard to bring this exceptional show to our town and it will be a weekend to remember.

A BX93 Dance will be part of the festivities on the 24th. Stay tuned for details and don’t forget to mark your calendar!

Search for lost graves at Uncle Tom’s Cabin

Starting tomorrow, archaeologists from The University of Western Ontario and the Ontario Heritage Trust will begin to search for unmarked graves at Uncle Tom’s Cabin Historic Site in Dresden, Ontario.

The site is home to two historic cemeteries belonging to the British American Institute and the Henson family. Although many tombstones are visible at the two cemeteries, their positions do not always precisely mark the location of the underlying graves.
